What do dreams about cheating on your partner mean?

User Avatar
Cheating To dream that you are cheating on your spouse, mate, or significant other, suggests feelings of self-guilt and self-betrayal. You may have compromised your beliefs or integrity and/or wasting your energy and time on fruitless endeavours. Alternatively, it reflects the intensity of your sexual passion and exploring areas of your sexuality. It is a reaffirmation of your commitment. To dream that your mate, spouse, or significant other is cheating on you, indicates your fears of being abandoned. You may feel a lack of attention in the relationship. Alternatively, you may feel that you are not measuring up to the expectations of others. This notion may stem from issues of trust or self-esteem. Dreaming that you are having sex with someone other than your partner may mean several things. Again, since everything in dreams is symbolic, including sex, the sex act itself must be interpreted using the lens of symbolism. Sex in dreams often means unity - becoming one with something. In a dream, this unity may be expressed by sexual union with someone who is symbolic of something important to you. For example, if you dreamed you were cheating with someone famous, it could mean that you desire more recognition or it could mean that you are giving yourself the recognition and value you deserve. Look at who you are having sex with and what they represent to you - this is a huge step in discovering what the dream itself means. Dreams of cheating may also be dreams of wish-fulfillment. Perhaps you have become infatuated with a person outside of the relationship. Dreams of sleeping with that person are ways that one can have the experience without the devastating consequences! If you continue having dreams of this sort, look at your relationship and see if your sex life is lacking. Talk with your partner and see if there are ways in which you can improve your sex life.

Can you make yourself have a nightmare?

User Avatar
With practice, you can "program" yourself to dream just about anything you can imagine. Some people seem to be able to naturally control their dreams, while others have to work at it consistently. There are many books on the subject. People inadvertently program their dreams all the time by the television programs they watch, the books they read, what they think about, and by what is going on in their day to day lives. Answer: It is not as easy to make yourself have a nightmare or any other sort of dream as some websites claim. Dreams are produced in each person's unconscious mind, and the conscious (waking) mind does not have any direct control over the unconscious. Things that interest you, emotional obsessions as well as films, television programs and books that catch your attention certainly can influence your dreams. But true nightmares arise from your deep memories and hidden emotions, and are not easily influenced by anything you decide or try to do.

What do you do when you have a bad dream and tell people about it then later you read that you should not tell anybody about a bad dream or harm could come to you what do you do islamically?

User Avatar
In Islam or any other faith tradition, no harm can come of telling someone about a bad dream. Dreams occur within the dreamer's mind, just like one's thoughts. Islam is about submission to the One, not about superstitious fears. Answer 2: You can do nothing about the past, from now on don't make the same mistake. If you saw a bad dream or a nightmare then you have to say " O Allah (God)! I seek refuge with Thee from the Satan". Don't tell anyone about it & it will never harm you enshaa Allah. Advice: To avoid such bad dreams recite the verse of Throne before sleeping as we have been taught by the prophet Muhammad PBUH, it's a great protection by the will of Allah the Almighty from each evil. Here is this verse, it's memorized by approximately each Muslim: (Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory)). Holy Quran,(2:255). wish you happy true dreams/ visions.

What does it mean to dream about red roses?

User Avatar
It's hard to interpret a dream without knowing the other details. However, a red rose is a powerful symbol with several meanings. The rose is the queen of flowers, often regarded as a symbol of romantic love. The red rose in particular is associated with passionate love. The rose's delicate beauty can be like an elusive woman who is the object of longing. For the rose does not last long; her beauty fades too soon; thus there is a sadness to this love, and the rose can also be seen as symbolizing a fleeting nature of youth and beauty. The thorns of the rose hint at the suffering that often accompanies love.

What does it mean to dream you are being hanged?

User Avatar
This dream suggests that some important aspect of the dreamer's life is being threatened or destroyed. "being hanged" suggests that the harm is coming from a power outside the dreamer's self, over which the dreamer has no control. "Hanged" suggest strangling, choking which are related to the ability to breath or speak. So the threat could be in response to something the dreamer said. In general, death in a dream represents the end of one stage of life and the beginning of something new. Dreams don't mean anything. This is just a scary nightmare. Dreams are a function of the subconscious. Symbols have different meanings to different social groups. It therefore depends on the group to which you belong what those symbols mean. For someone that has no knowledge of the group to which a person belongs and to claim to be able to interpret those symbols is nonsense. Dreams mostly mean nothing and are a function of the subconscious mind. We know little of the conscious mind. Those people that claim to be able to interpret the subconscious are charlatans, playing upon the insecurities of people in need real support. Either for financial gain or kudos.

What does it mean when someone dies and you dream about them everynight and you are sititng down alwas talking to them about how to be back together.?

User Avatar
The dream you describe reflects an important part of the grief process. When someone dies, the subconscious mind is slower to accept that reality than the conscious mind. Your feelings need time to adjust to that persons absence. The dreams allow you to be with that person. Talking about ways to get back together expresses the normal grief process of bargaining. With time, these dreams will fade and you will be able to accept life without the deceased.

What is meant walking with no shoes in the dream?

User Avatar
Walking with no shoes in a dream might have one of several meanings, depending on the context, action, and feelings in the dream. It might represent fear of poverty and worry about having basic needs provided, as being "barefoot" can represent poverty. In this sense, the dream might be similar to the common expression for an oppressed woman, "barefoot and pregnant." A completely different possibility might be a sense of being in a holy place, as several religions speak of removing one's shoes when walking on "holy ground." Yet another possibility could be a memory of childhood freedom, when on could run barefoot on the beach or play in puddles or mud with one's bare toes. See attached link for further discussion on symbols in dreams.

What do dreams about falling mean?

User Avatar
Most people will experience dreams of falling at some point in their lives. It usually happens when you are just falling to sleep and then something startles you. When dreams of falling occur at the beginning of sleep, they often represent the mind's resistance to "falling" asleep. The subconscious mind creates a literal image and feeling of "falling." Other falling dreams represent feelings of being out of control in some important area of life. Dreams about falling usually occur as you are "falling off" to sleep. They may be triggered by a drop in blood pressure, a movement of the fluid in the middle ear, or a limb dangling off the side of the bed.

While some people sleep so soundly that they seem deaf to noises around them, in reality the mind can be affected by sounds heard during sleep. Alternatively, the coyotes in the dream could represent a trickster or a mischievous person in the dreamer's life.

What does it mean go and pursue your dreams?

User Avatar
The expression does not refer to dreams that occur during sleep. In this phrase, "dreams" are one's hopes and aspirations. For example, if one "dreams" of becoming a jet pilot, that means that one aspires to become a jet pilot. In order to "pursue the dream," that person would need to study appropriate subjects, become a trained pilot and perhaps join the Air Force to obtain training and experience with jet planes.

Why do you dream weird things when your sick?

User Avatar
When one is sick, the fever or other discomforts of the illness can trigger disturbing and unusual dreams by disrupting the healthy nightly cycles of sleep. Had a dream that your ex-girlfriend cheated on you?

User Avatar
To be frank, it doesn't matter-she's already your ex-girlfriend. An ex is an ex for a reason, so leave it alone. A dream is neither a valid argument or proof she cheated & regardless of whether or not she did, wondering about or accusing her doesn't matter since you're no longer with her, anyway. Don't take the dream to heart or let it stress you out!

In inception if you kill yourself in limbo do you come back to reality or another dream?

User Avatar
You are dead... if you die in Limbo it kills you! But when saito dies too early, he is sent to limbo, and you see Dom who later dies in a dream level and goes to limbo where saito is (first scene and near ending scene), saito is very old because 5 minutes in reality is an hour in a dream but within limbo it is much longer. so that is the old sentai. This is limbo because they said if you die in a dream you get sent to limbo, and in limbo it showed a clip of dom and mal killing themselves under a train sending them back to their home in reality. so if you kill yourself in limbo, you don't in fact die, you are sent to reality. In limbo, sentai and dom have a gun in that room in which sentai shoots dom and him and they find themselves back on the plane. The plane can't have been a dream as you can't dream if you had died. the question is whether the final scene where dom gets to see his kids faces is actually reality, because the kids are wearing the same clothes as in the memories and they are depicted as being in the garden playing. people believe that the final scene is dom dreaming on the plane because he can now dream again without aid now saito has made the call. The totem is never show stopping on the table at the end, but it does slow down, meaning that it is open to interpretation . this is the most likely analogy towards the ending. to conclude, in limbo, the idea of being killed and being brought to reality is a likely idea as proved twice when dom and mal are killed by the train and both dom and sentai shoot themselves in limbo and are not killed as you cant dream once you die in limbo, because that's just the end, another idea is that mal could be true believing they are living in a dream and dom should kill himself as "a leap of faith". the whole thing is open to interpretation- a seed planted into your mind, an idea that you won't stop thinking about, this is what the movie was trying to do and haven't they done it well!

Why do dreams seem so real but make no sense?

User Avatar
Dreams are simply a result of the subconscious entertaining itself by (haphazardly, yet creatively) compiling trivial thoughts, feelings, emotions and events from daily life into vivid dreams... and/or nightmares. Most make no sense at all. Yet insight may come from objects/events the dream contains. It depends on whether or not you believe in the importance of such dreams.
