The belief by some Christians that verses from the Bible foretell events that actually take place in the future

Do Christians go to heaven when they die or are they in the grave until the rapture?

User Avatar
The Soul goes to Heaven. The body goes into the grave until the rapture. After the body is taken to Heaven, it is transformed into a new Holy body. Another view There is no such thing as the rapture. If there is(which there is not) show me proof in the Bible. I will gladly study with you. John 17.(it would be good to read all of the chapter. but in verse 4 Jesus said "I have finished the work" when He comes will be the last and final time. when you die(when everyone dies) their body goes to the grave and their spiritual body goes to Hades.__(1 Corinthians 15:54-57)_54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."55 "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Luke 16 mentions Hell.A place after Hades.Hades is a waiting place until Christ comes. If you are saved in Christ. you will go to Heaven. a place of comfort and rest___2 Thessalonians 1:7; " and to you who are troubled rest with us,when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels" ____2 Pet .1: 16; For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. ____Acts 4:12;Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Another Answer First, the term 'soul' is nephesh in the Hebrew and psuche in the Greek and it simply means breath of life. It is in all air-breathing animals and man. When any of these die, the bodies and soul die and go to the grave. But there is a spirit in man and this goes to God to be rejoined with another new physical body for that person at their resurrection to Judgement before Jesus Christ. Ecclesiastes 12:7 New King James Version (NKJV) 7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it. The term 'spirit' used here is 'ruach' and initially meant the same as nephesh ( in earliest times there was little distinction in Hebrew thought between a person's God-breathed ruach and his or her nephesh or soul). Lastly, most will find this a bit shocking, but no human but Jesus has gone to Heaven (John 3:13). Heaven is coming down to the New Earth - the tabernacle of God will be amongst mankind - his new spiritual sons and daughters in the Family of God (Revelation 21). Another view Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. All souls return to our father once the flesh body dies. That word spirit used is not nephesh as others have stated earlier its the Hebrew word ruwach (Strong's 7307), its the same as the word used in Genesis 1:2, to define our Fathers spirit. Paul goes into great lengths concerning this discussion in 1 Corinthians chapter 15. where he defines your two bodies which your spirit (soul) can reside in. He defines one earthly and the other heavenly. You can not posses both bodies at the same time however. The flesh is simply each souls probation time to choose of their own free will whether they will follow Christ or Satan. Most folks are not taught biblical text, they simply listen to sermons one day of the week during church, therefore they miss this important teaching. You have a spirit (soul) which belongs to our father "behold all souls are mine" Ezekiel 18:4. Therefore Satan can not take your soul. However, you can choose to follow him which may very well result in the destruction of your soul, in the lake of fire, during the white throne judgement (Revelation 20). The decision is yours and yours alone to bear, no one else will face your judgment but you alone, and what is written next to your name in the book of life. Therefore choose wisely. There will be 1000 years of teaching prior to the white throne judgement (revelation chapter 20), however I would not suggest you wait until that time, personally I would rather you learn the word now and make a stand against the false christ. The false christ will come (after the war with Iran - Persia re:Daniel 8-11). That is how close we are to the end of this earth age boys and girls. Once you see the West go to war with Iran, then know as it is written in the book of Daniel, that the appearance of Satan as the fake jesus is coming next. Don't follow after the first christ who appears, he is a fake. Rapture is simply a lie. That lie is identified in the book of Exekiel chapter 13 starting with verse 17. The lie of rapture is founded upon the ideas of a young lass of port glastonbury Scotland, named Margret MacDonald. Margret was of the tribe of Dan and her account meets the prophecy of Dan as given in the book of Genesis 49:17. The name doubghall of which donald is a sir name, is the identification of the dainties who came agains the isles of Scotland and Ireland in 1000 ad. T,he name means dark of black dane or dutch. The account of the Danite Margret MacDonald is well documented in glastonbury church history. Finally, in Luke chapter 16 is the story of Lazarus and the Rich man, which defines what happens to those who allow themselves to become caught up in the cares of this life and ignore their responsibility to Christ and our Father. It is founded upon Deuteronomy 15:7 and the law to help out your poor brother. The rich man failed to achieve the commandment of Deuteronomy 15:7 and he was separated from the souls that are allowed around the throne of God and placed across the great gulf fixed with all the other souls which did not achieve the requirements of the law either. There they wait until the 1000 years of Christ teaching where they might have a chance at redeeming themselves. It would be extreme grief to sit in a place where you can see the throne of our Father and Christ and know you can not go there and be among them. The grief one would feel in that place, knowing that your own actions condemned you, would be unbearable. This is what the bible describes as Hell. Another Answer The only thing I might add for those who wish to believe in the "Rapture", read II Thess Chpt. 2, it makes it very clear we will not gather again to our Christ until the "Son of Perdition" has set at the top of the Temple Mount proclaiming himself to be God. There is only one "Son of Perdition", that simply means "pre-judged", you can read of that judgement in Ezk. 28. it is Satan. If you need further proof after you read your I Thess 4:16, the Trump mentioned there, what Trump is it? That's easy enough to answer go to I Cor 15:52, Paul tells you it is the Last Trump. Now Satan comes at the 6th. Trump, so that means Satan has to come on earth first as mentioned in Rev.12:7-9. Notice it did not say some man with dark swept back hair and sunglasses as shown on the TV shows, it said Satan, better get used to that idea. And, don't fear, your father is with you. Satan is not coming for death and destruction, he's coming as God to deceive you, he wants you to worship him. When you read for example in Rev. 9:18 that a third part of men were killed, it is Soul Slaughter, not physical death. That IS the Mark of the Beast, loving him instead of your Father. God has his mark on foreheads also, read Rev. 9:4. If you will read Rev 7:1-3 you will see your Father is holding back the four corners of the Earth to have your mind sealed. Why you ask is this going to happen, one reason is the false preaching going on. Read Hosea Ch.7:13-16, He's Mad. Read Vs. 13, he is tired of the lies and in Vs.14, He's tired of the rebellion of us doing things "our" way instead of the way he has commanded us. It's real simple, if you have a preacher that is just giving you but one or two verses of the Bible each week and puffing hot air for an hour. You better find yourself a man of God who will. Forget all this Non-Biblical Rapture doctrine nonsense, and stand up like a man or woman of God. God has plans for you. I know many of you are thinking, oh my preacher is not misleading me, then read Ezk.34, He's not so happy with his Shepherds. In Vs. 10 He Says I am against you. If then you wish to say, that's old Testament, then read Vs. 24, you should know who my servant "David" is, its Jesus, and He talks of his coming, that's future. I am may not as eloquent or as humble as the man who just answered you, but he told you the truth. God Bless Him for it! Another Answer Human beings are made up of 2 parts: Body and Soul. When someone dies, their temporary physical human Body of flesh breaks down and disintegrates until after a while there is nothing left except dust. However, when a Christian dies, although their physical body decays, their Soul goes immediately to Heaven. They (that is, their physical Body and spiritual Soul) are not stuck in the grave until the Rapture. The Souls of people who have already died are in heaven. The Rapture is a Type for the people rising out of their graves at Christ's death on the Cross in Jerusalem, but they were the bodies of Old Testament saints being un-disintegrated [if there's such a word!] and resurrected to heaven. (There were no New Testament saints because Christ had just died). Just as the bodies, or physical containers of the Soul, of the Old Testament saints left their graves at Christ's death, so the bodies of dead New Testament Christians will also leave their graves and disappear into the atmosphere. 1Th 4:17 KJ Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The word air quoted from 1 thessalonians 4:17 KJV is Strong's Greek word 109: and it means to breath unconsciously, i.e. Respire; by analogy, to blow); "air" (as naturally circumambient). this is often mistaken by readers for the word sky. The Greek word air and the Latan word "Respire" refer to the breath of life as stated in Genesis 2:7 - And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul Sky is Strong's Greek word 3772 - "Ouranos" with the definition: Perhaps from the same as oros (through the idea of elevation); the sky; by extension, heaven (as the abode of God); by implication, happiness, power, eternity; specially, the Gospel (Christianity) -- air, heaven(-ly), sky. When Christians die they go straight to heaven, they are not in the grave until the rapture.

Where in the Bible does it talk about the right and left?

User Avatar
The first reference to "right" and "left" in the Bible is in Genesis 13:9 where Abraham tells his nephew Lot to go in one direction and he'll go the other:- Gen 13:9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. However, this is only one of 68 other references in the KJ Version to "right" and "left" in the Bible. One of these places is in Jesus' description of the Kingdom of God, when He gathers all the nations and separates the wicked from the obedient:- "And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth His sheep from the goats: and He shall set the sheep on His RIGHT hand, but the goats on the LEFT." (Matt.25:32-33) The Bible talks about how Jesus is on the RIGHT hand of God as well :) Luk 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

According to Jewish tradition, in Isaiah 53 the entire Jewish nation is referred to in the singular (Rashi commentary, 53:3). The chapter is speaking of the persecutions against the Jews during the last 2000 years.See also: How many Isaiahs?

When will Jesus appear again?

Matthew 24:36 : "That day and hour known one knows, not even the angels of heaven know, but My Father only." With that verse, God's angels don't know, not even Jesus Himself knows, only the Father knows. Many people believed that it was going to be May 11th, 2011 or December 21st, 2012, those dates are nothing more but guesses. All we know that it's going to be an hour that we don't expect.

What is considered a former prophet?

User Avatar
One who goes against that religion by force and is a heretic. There are no former prophets in biblical text. You are either a prophet of our Father or you are not. There are two types of prophets defined in biblical text. 1) The first are the prophets of our Father, which are chosen people whom our Father speaks to the people through. An excellent explanation of this is given in the first chapters of Jeremiah. Those prophets of our Father ended once Christ had appeared on this earth. There is no need of them once Christ took the reigns as King and High priest. 2) There are the false prophets which Christ described in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. And the false prophet as defined in the book of Daniel chapter 7 and the book of Revelation chapters 11, 13, and 17, he is known as the anti-christ or fake christ. He is the one that deceives the whole world into thinking he is Christ returned, however he is a fake. He is the first one to return and claim to be Christ who can work miracles in the sight of men as defined in Revelation 13. He will appear after the war between Persia (iran) and the West (USA) occurs. There are many false prophets among us now who claim to be of our Father and they are deceivers. Mohammed was a false prophet, as there were to be no more prophets after Christ, and never any prophets to come from the tribes of Ishmael.

How did Jesus' coming fulfill the prophecies of Isaiah?

User Avatar
Because Jesus was born to a virgin, and he died for our sins, on the cross. he did not speak he went like a lamb to be slaughtered. Answer: One Sabbath day, centuries ago... Jesus went to church. He went to the synagogue in His hometown of Nazareth on the Sabbath as was His custom, whenever He was in town and not in Capernaum, where He also had a home... and was handed the scroll [book] of Isaiah to read. When He finished reading the passage that He chose from Isaiah's book [the beginning of chapter 61]... He ended it abruptly at a specific place, closed it and told those present: "...This day is this Scripture fulfilled in your ears." (Luke 4:21) The "fulfilled" prophecies were: "...The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me; He has appointed Me to PREACH GOOD NEWS [the Gospel] to the poor; He has sent Me to HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED and to ANNOUNCE THAT CAPTIVES SHALL BE RELEASED and THE BLIND SHALL SEE, that the DOWNTRODDEN SHALL BE FREED from their oppressors, and that GOD IS READY TO GIVE BLESSINGS TO ALL WHO COME TO HIM." (Luke 4:18 LVB Living Bible) These were all things that Jesus both personally fulfilled and/or set into motion, that His disciples and all who would follow Him down through the centuries would continue to fulfill through the Power of the Holy Spirit. But, ALL of Isaiah's prophecies weren't fulfilled that Sabbath day in Nazareth. Because JESUS STOPPED READING at the place of the prophecy that HE WOULD FULFILL AT THE TIME OF HIS SECOND COMING. The next part of Isaiah's prophecy where Jesus stopped reads: "...and the DAY OF HIS WRATH TO THEIR ENEMIES..." (Isa.61:2 LVB). Jesus hasn't fulfilled that prophecy, yet. A TIME, YET AHEAD OF US, OF HIS RETURN TO ESTABLISH THE KINGDOM OF GOD ON EARTH -- which is the Good News that He preached about the first time. This, as yet, future prophetic fulfillment is what makes up the majority of Bible prophecy... both the major and minor prophets of God. The Bible calls this time: the Day of the Lord! And the world has not seen this side of Jesus, yet. "Sound the alarm in Jerusalem! Let the blast of the warning trumpet be heard upon My Holy Mountain! Let everyone tremble in fear, for THE DAY OF THE LORD'S JUDGMENT APPROACHES. "It is a Day of darkness and gloom, of black clouds and thick darkness. What a mighty army! It covers the mountains like night! How Great, how powerful these 'people' are!" (Joel 2:1-2 LVB) "THE LORD LEADS THEM WITH A SHOUT. This is His mighty army and they follow His orders. THE DAY OF THE JUDGMENT OF THE LORD IS AN AWESOME, TERRIBLE THING. Who can endure it?" (verse 11) This is THE SECOND PART of the prophecy that Jesus stopped short of reading about in Isaiah's book. This wasn't the purpose of His FIRST COMING. Jesus' first coming was an INVITATION to men to repent and be spared what is coming on the earth in the Day of the Lord. "That is why the Lord says, 'Turn to Me now, while there is still time. Give Me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, mourning..." (Joel 2:12 LVB). Jesus hasn't fulfilled ALL of Isaiah's prophecies [or those of the rest of His prophets] yet. Jesus did not fulfill even one of Isaiah's prophecies.

What date of Balaam's prophecies?

In his 'Study Bible' John MacArthur says everything after the start of Chapter 20:1 is dated ca. 1406/1405BC (Moses died later that year.):- Num 31:1-3, 7-8 KJV (v.1) And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, (v.2) Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people. (v.3) And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian. (v.7) And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males. (v.8) And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

Is it true that Jesus Christ is coming back?

User Avatar
Answer 1: Islamic answer Yes, Muslims believe in the second coming of Jesus and that Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) will be the only one who can defeat the anti-Christ and the nonbelievers. Generally, Muslims believe that Jesus is still living in the body in the Heaven and that he will appear just before the Final Day , after the coming of the Mahdi, when the world will be purified of sin and unbelief. There will be a final death before the final Resurrection, but all will have believed before that final death. However, Muslims believe that Jesus (Peace be upon him) was not crucified. They believe that the enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) plotted and planned to crucify Jesus. However, God miraculously saved Jesus and raised him up to Him (to God). God, the all-powerful and the all capable, put the likeness of Jesus (peace upon him) over another man. The enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) thought that this other man is Jesus and they took him and crucified him. Quran says (meaning English translation): {...They said, "We killed the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God." They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but the likeness of him was put on another man (and they killed that man)...} (Quran, 4/157) and says: { ... Allah (God) raised him up unto himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power and Wise.. and there is none of the people of the Book but must believe in him before his death; and on the day of Judgment he will be a witness against them} (Quran, 4/158-159) Generally, Muslims believe that Jesus is still living in the body in the Heaven and that he will appear just before the Final Day , after the coming of the Mahdi, when the world will be purified of sin and unbelief. There will be a final death before the final Resurrection, but all will have believed before that final death. Christian friendus: Answer 2 Yes, it is true. I am not saying this just because I am a Seventh-Day Adventist and it is part of my doctrine, but because the Bible says it is true. Thessalonians 4:16-17 says, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall be always with the Lord." Not only this, there are signs that Jesus is coming again very soon. In Luke 21:25-28 it says, "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves raring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectations of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near." Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami in South Asia, the second Gulf War, unrest in many Middle Eastern nations, controversy over immigration policies, sickness and death, these increased maladies point to one thing. Jesus' second coming is near, very near, and we must be ready. Answer 3 Very true, in a blink of an eye. ; The end will come within the lifetime of Jesus' listeners. : "Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." -- Matthew 16:28 : "But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God." -- Luke 9:27 : "Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation." -- Matthew 23:36 : "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." -- Matthew 24:34 : "Nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven." -- Matthew 26:64 : "Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power." -- Mark 9:1 : "Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done." -- Mark 13:30 : "And ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven." -- Mark 14:62 : "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled." -- Luke 21:32 : "Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?" -- John 21:22 ; The end will come within the lifetime of the the New Testament authors. : "Waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ ... that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." -- 1 Corinthians 1:7-8 : "But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remains, that both they that have wives be as though they had none." -- 1 Corinthians 7:29 : "That ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ. -- Philippians 1:10 : "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." -- 1 Thessalonians 4:17 : "I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." -- 1 Thessalonians 5:23 : "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son...." -- Hebrews 1:2 : "But now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself." -- Hebrews 9:26 : "Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you." -- 1 Peter 1:20 : "But the end of all things is at hand." -- 1 Peter 4:7 : "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time." -- 1 John 2:18 ; The end will come soon. (Within a couple thousand years or so.) : "The Lord is at hand." -- Philippians 4:5 : "For the coming of the Lord draws nigh." -- James 5:8 : "For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry." -- Hebrews 10:37 : "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass. -- Revelation 1:1 : "The time is at hand." -- Revelation 1:3 : "Behold, I come quickly." -- Revelation 3:11, 22:7, 22:12 : "Surely I come quickly." -- Revelation 22:20 Answer 4 Yes. Matthew 24:14: When the gospel of the kingdom is preached in all the world for a witness to all nations. I believe that most that are alive today will see the second coming, probably between now and the end of 2012. I have not heard anyone else say it, I just see the world moving toward what the Bible says will be in the last days, as in the days of Noah. We have the ability now to spread the gospel throughout the world via the internet to all nations as referenced as the main sign given by Jesus above. There are many other things prophesied (told us by the Spirit of God) in the Bible, but these two are plenty for me to know that it is time to prepare the bride of Christ for His return. Answer 5 According to the Christian doctrine called Premillenialism/Amellenialism/Postmillenialism, the Rapture and the time the Antichrist will rule on the earth for seven or more years. First there will be 3 and 1/2 years of peace then 3 and 1/2 years of disaster. (Read the book of Revelation in the Bible for more information). Answer 6 Yes. I believe he will touch our minds and prepare us for the exact time to go overseas to meet him at the exact place he ascended into heaven... (Acts 1:11)...and the dead in Christ shall rise first (I Thess. 4:16) Christ will return to the same spot to collect a small handful of people to make up and complete the Bride (144,000 Jews, & 144,000 gentiles) and bring them back to 3rd Heaven to rule and reign with him 1,000 years over the new earth. After the 1,000 years God, himself will bring Christ and his Bride down to the new earth and they can dwell among the people, as God did at the time of the Garden of Eden. That was God's plan was to live among his people, since the beginning of time! I can't wait for that glorious get ready! In the meantime try to overcome sin! Jesus said that it can be done! Answer 7 He said that he would. He cannot lie. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life -- and Messiah, coming back as conquering King. Just look around and you'll see the signs.

What is the significance of the number seven in the Bible?

User Avatar
refinement The number seven symbolizes God's perfection, His sovereignty and holiness. God created earth - seven days; One seven-day week is a reminder of our creator; God blessed the seventh day, making it holy (Exodus 20:8-11) The best work on numbers is that written by Bullinger "Numbers in Scripture". It has detail as to the meaning of numbers based upon biblical texts, with accurate references, Another answer: Certain numbers have symbolic meaning, but only within the context of the Scriptures in which they are used. For example, the number four is used to denote allness or universalness. This idea is conveyed in such expressions as "four extremities of the earth" and "four winds of the heavens." (Isaiah 11:12, Daniel 8:8) When the number seven is used in a symbolic way, it represenrs completeness. (Leviticus 4:6, Hebrews 9:24-26) These and other symbolic numbers used in the Scriptures gain meaning from their prophetic context. Although the Scriptures give a measure of importance to certain numbers, the Bible does not encourage us to link the letters of certain words with numbers to uncover mystical truths. What do you think about fulfilled Bible prophecies?

User Avatar
The answer to the question asked ( "What do you think about fulfilled Bible prophecies?") depends on each person's individual point of view. The odds of fulfilled prophecies occurring by random chance is beyond all the laws of probability. "I am a mathematician - I had two majors in college, Math and Physics. I understand probabilities. This is where ...the prophesies in the bible (there's like 8000+ of them) that have either come true or are yet to come true ... and talks about the astronomical mathematical probabilities of even just a few things coming true, not the thousands that have. Just as an example. Between 250 and 500 years before Jesus was born there were approximately three hundred specific prophecies relating just to his birth, his life, his miracles, his death, and his resurrection. Let's just take eight things: 1. Place of birth 2. Time of birth 3. Manner of birth 4. Betrayal. 5. Manner of death 6. People's reactions 7. Piercing and 8. Burial ...these [are] eight specific prophecies that people are in total agreement with. The chance that any one man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is one in ten to the 17th power or 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. To put that in better perspective. If you take the state of Texas and put it two feet deep in silver dollars and try to find just one coin out of all of those you would have the probability of just eight of these three hundred prophecies coming true. ... The probability of all 300 of them coming true; which they did, is beyond mathematical comprehension. ... 48 prophecies with the chance that any one man could fulfill all forty eight as being one in ten to the one hundred and fifty seventh power - also an unimagineable number - yet all 300 prophecies came true. If we expand that into the thousands of prophecies that have come true in the Bible; it starts to paint a picture that the bible was truly penned by the holy spirit and even though the ink was put down by the hands of men, it was truly God's words being penned. Want some specifics on these prophecies? You are probably asking yourself "How do eight prophecies" yield a probability of 10 to the 17th power? If I predict correctly all four digits in a four-digit lottery, the likelihood of that occurring by chance is one in 10,000 because for each digit, the probability is one in ten x ten x ten x ten = 10,000. If I predict another four digits correctly, the likelihood of this event occurring by chance is one in 100,000,000, ten thousand times ten thousand. If I predict correctly another four digits, the probability of this occurring by chance is one in 1,000,000,000,000; ten thousand times ten thousand times ten thousand. The correct prediction of a four-digit lottery three times in a row is extremely unlikely to occur by chance. The correct prediction of an 8 digit lottery in the same manner is beyond comprehension. It is more likely to have happened by design. This could happen if I control the process of selecting the winning numbers. This could happen if I have knowledge of the future (prescience). Where has this ability come from? One explanation is that it is from an omniscient intelligence. Predicting one specific historical event in the future is possible by guessing. Predicting many specific historical events in the future is very unlikely by guesswork. Predicting a series of specific historical events in a specific order is even more unlikely by guesswork. Predicting just eight historical events relating to just one person in the sequence they occurred during the time frame they occurred is simply beyond the concept of any probability...." Fulfilled Bible prophecies prove GOD exists, but this is not an issue of mathematics. This is an issue of faith. If you don't want to believe you won't regardless of the evidence. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ We're seeing Bible prophecy fulfilled on TV every day! Why did Jesus wear the crown of thorns?

User Avatar
Jesus was and is the King of the Jews, as proclaimed by the wise men, (Matthew 2.2), and by Pilate, on Jesus' cross in three languages. (John 19.19,20). But the people who rule this world, (Herod and the soldiers then), think this of Jesus, the everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. "If he is a king, then let us crown him - with thorns!" And Jesus never argued; He is meek and lowly in heart.

Who is the antichrist?

User Avatar
Identifying "THE" Antichrist is very simple , Just remember one thing. There is actually no entity identified as "The Antichrist" written in the Book of Revelation. That name only appears in John 2. Satan playing the role of fake Jesus Christ (looks like the lamb but speaks as a dragon - Rev 13) will not deny Christ, he will actually claim to be him. He will perform miracles in the sight of men in order to convince them he is Christ. True Christ identified: Revelation 5:6 6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Fake Jesus identified (what many refer to as "The Antichrist) Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. Satan's roles and names identified: Revelation 12 is where all of Satan's names are given Daniel 11, and 7 identify him as the "little horn", (as lambs horns are not yet the horns of a Ram) Revelation 9 defines when Satan is released from the pit Revelation 13 identifies 2nd beast, which looks like a lamb, but speaks as a dragon. Revelation 13 identifies how this fake lamb deceives mankind with the miracles he can perform. Revelation 11 defines how he acts especially against the 2 witnesses our Father sends 2nd Thessalonians 2, states he will stand in the temple of God (in Jerusalem) claiming to be Christ Revelation 20 he is cast into the pit, just before judgment for his deception of mankind, after being defeated by the true Christ He is identified in Revelation 13 by the number 6,6,6, 6th Seal 6th Trumpet 6th Vial The true Christ is identified by the number 7,7,7 7th Seal 7th Trumpet 7th Vial

What are visions?

User Avatar
Visions both come from and are about God, their understanding is given by God, and can only be understood and interpreted if a person has the Holy Spirit of God. They come at night when a person is asleep, and are frightening. They can appear to anyone, but in the Millennium everyone will have them. Visions come at night:- Gen 46:2 And God spake unto Israel [ie Jacob, before God re-named him Israel] in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, ... Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, .... Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, ..... Visions come when a person is asleep:- Job 4:13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men Visions are frightening:- Job 7:14 Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions: Dan 4:5 I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. Dan 7:15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. Visions both come from and are about God:- 2Ch 26:5 And he [Uzziah] sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: .... 2Co 12:1 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. Visions can appear to anyone: - patriachs:- Gen 46:2 And God spake unto Israel [ie Jacob, before God re-named him Israel] in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, ... -Kings:- Dan 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; -prophets:- Eze 13:16 To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her... -prisoners:- Eze 1:1 Now it came to pass..., as I was among the captives ... that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. The understanding of visions is given by God:- Dan 1:17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. Visions can only be understood and interpreted if a person has the Holy Spirit of God, but if they don't it has to be explained to them:- Dan 4:9 O Belteshazzar [ie Daniel],... because I know that the is in thee, ... spirit of the holy godstell me [ie King Nebuchadnezzar] the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof. In the Millennium everyone will see visions:- Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

What is the meaning of time and times and half a time?

User Avatar
It relates to Biblical prophesy. See the Related Link below. Answer: It's one prophetic way that the Bible says: "Three-and-a-half years." A "time" is a "360 day prophetic year, segmented into 12 thirty-day months. "Times," being the plural of "time" is "two 360 day prophetic years of 24 thirty-day months." "Half a time," then boils down to "one-half of a prophetic year or 180 days," or "six thirty-day months." The Bible also refers to 3 1/2 years as: "one thousand two hundred and threescore days," or 42 thirty-day months [see Rev.11:3]. As well as: "forty and two months" [see Rev.13:5]. All-in-all... a three and a half year "Great Tribulation" period [in which the coming Beast rules the world - Rev.13, the Two Witnesses prophesy - Rev.11... the same period of which Daniel prophesied - Dan.7:25 & 12:7] figures prominently in God's prophetic plan... and our generation's soon-to-be-revealed future. What is the holy significance of an alabaster box?

User Avatar
Alabaster was very expensive in Bible times, and if a person bought an alabaster box, it was only used for very important purposes. So the Pharisees considered it a waste when a woman poured perfume from an alabaster box on Jesus' head in Matthew 26:7-9. We are assuming here that you are talking about this moment which is also described in more detail in Luke Chapter Six? Here, a woman enters a house owned by a Pharisee and, wordlessly and with many tears, washes Christ with ointment, using her hair to clean his feet. When the Pharisee expresses disgust that such a woman, who, it is inferred, is a prostitute, or certainly a sinner, should be allowed to do such a thing, Christ rebukes him and points out that since the woman has entered, he has done nothing but minister to him while the Pharisee, whose name is Simon, has done nothing. He then turns to the woman and pardons her of all her sins for her great devotion. Since Pope Gregory the Great, this woman has been conflated with Mary Magdelene and so she is often portrayed as carrying an alabaster jar. In fact she is referred to as Mary of Bethany in another Gospel. But then Gregory also conflated Mary of Bethany with Mary Magdelene... Alabaster historically was a symbol of purity and great honour. It is also thought to have been associated with the Egyptian Goddess Bast (hence alaBASTer). So in some sense, the Woman with the Alabaster Jar may have been associated in the author's mind as connected to ancient forms of worship, particularly of the Goddess. It is significant in this connection that, just before this passage in Luke, the text says 'Wisdom is justified in all her children". Now, the author of Luke would have known what he was referring to as Wisdom ie the Sophia, the Feminine Aspect of God and Bride of Christ. The New Testament, contrary to what most organised Churches will tell you, is full of veiled references to other spiritual cultures - eg Hellenic Alexandrian ones, Egyptian Mysteries ('out of Egypt have I brought my son'), Eleusinian Mysteries (corn and wheat imagery), Zoroastrianism (the Three Wise Men)... So this moment with the Alabaster Jar is very significant in terms of Christ and the Feminine/Sophia. What we are seeing is how, in fact, the Woman with the Jar is much closer in spirit to Christ... Further, the Alabaster Jar is linked to the image of the Grail. It is the receiving vessel, into which the Holy Spirit pours and the individual can be transformed. Here it is filled with ointment. The woman is not just washing Christ but ANOINTING him. And remember that the word Christ means 'Anointed One'. So the Jar and the woman who carries it are VERY significant in terms of understanding the inner meaning of the Christ Mystery.

How many years has it been since Jesus's death?

User Avatar
There are many friendus to this question. However, the one that fits Scripturally is His death on Passover day, Wednesday, 25 Apr 31 A.D. at the 9th hour and His resurrection just before sunrise on Saturday, 28 Apr 31 A.D. For the year 2011 that would make it 1980 years (2011 - 31).

How many years did Jeremiah serve as a prophet?

User Avatar
That number is undisclosed. His book ends with only part of his commission complete. "...I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to ROOT OUT, and to PULL DOWN, and to DESTROY, and to THROW DOWN, to BUILD, and to PLANT." (Jer.1:10) He had a number to missions to accomplish at that time when God was warning the Jews through him for the last time to repent of their sins and turn back to God and His laws. The Babylonian Empire was knocking at their door, so to speak... and the final stage was set to remove the Jews from their land and be taken into captivity. Jeremiah was the prophet of record at this time for the "rooting out, pulling down, destruction and the throwing down" of the House or Kingdom of Judah. The prophesied seventy-year captivity of the Jews. This phase of Jeremiah's commission is recorded in his book. And the "building" portion of his commission just begins as his book ends. Jeremiah's book ends with the removal of the Jewish king and all of his sons, who were killed before him, prior to having his eyes burned out. He was carried away to Babylon... and the existence of the throne of David was lost to world history. [the throne which God promised to give to Christ -- "...He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and THE LORD SHALL GIVE UNTO HIM THE THRONE OF HIS FATHER DAVID: and He shall reign over the House of Jacob for ever; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end." (Luke 1:32-33)] Therefore, since David's throne has to be somewhere on this earth for Christ to claim when He returns... God had to "replant" David's throne somewhere. At the end of Jeremiah's book... he was given the freedom to travel anywhere he wanted. And he went to Mizpah, where he attached himself to "THE KING'S DAUGHTERS." "Then went Jeremiah... to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land." (Jer.40:6) "Then Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, EVEN THE KING'S DAUGHTERS, and all the people that remained in Mizpah..." (Jer.41:10). And following a brief misadventure, being sidetracked to Egypt for a spell... Jeremiah disappears with the king's daughters from the Bible... and from the view of the world. He secured the "seed" [the king's daughters - the material with which to "build"] whereby to replant the throne of David "somewhere in the world" so that it would be preserved for the Christ. "...behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise UNTO DAVID a Righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth..." (Jer.23:5). "...David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the HOUSE OF ISRAEL..." (Jer.33:17). Not the House of Judah [the Jews], but Israel, the house that had been taken into captivity and scattered over a century before Jeremiah was born. And the "planting" phase of Jeremiah's commission remains virtually unknown to the world today. Where he went and how he replanted, the Bible doesn't tell us... so we don't know the length of Jeremiah's service to God. Although, technically, if God has called you... your service to Him doesn't end. Answer John MacArthur in his Study Bible says that: The dates of [Jeremiah's] ministry... are from the Judean king Josiah's 13th year...627BC, to beyond the fall of Jerusalemto Babylon in 586BC....He was possibly still ministering in 570BC.

What does the Bible say about the end times?

User Avatar
What the Bible says about the End of the World? The end will come within the lifetime of Jesus's listeners."Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." -- Matthew16:28"But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God." -- Luke 9:27"Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation." -- Matthew 23:36"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." -- Matthew 24:34"Nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven." -- Matthew 26:64"Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power." -- Mark 9:1"Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done." -- Mark 13:30"And ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven." -- Mark 14:62"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled." -- Luke 21:32"Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?" -- John 21:22 The end will come within the lifetime of the the New Testament authors."Waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ ... that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." -- 1 Corinthians 1:7-8"But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none." -- 1 Corinthians 7:29"That ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. -- Philippians 1:10"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." -- 1 Thessalonians 4:17"I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." -- 1 Thessalonians 5:23"Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son...." -- Hebrews 1:2"But now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself." -- Hebrews 9:26"Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you." -- 1 Peter 1:20"But the end of all things is at hand." -- 1 Peter 4:7"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time." -- 1 John 2:18 The end will come soon. (Within a couple thousand years or so.)"The Lord is at hand." -- Philippians 4:5"For the coming of the Lord draweth nigh." -- James 5:8"For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry." -- Hebrews 10:37"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass. -- Revelation 1:1"The time is at hand." -- Revelation 1:3"Behold, I come quickly." -- Revelation 3:11, 22:7, 22:12"Surely I come quickly." -- Revelation 22:20 Signs of the End Times The Bible describes events and conditions that mark the end time, or last days. "The sign" is a composite one made up of many evidences; thus its fulfillment requires that all aspects of the sign be clearly in evidence during one generation. The various aspects of the sign are recorded at Matthew chapters 24, 25, Mark 13, and Luke 21; there are further details at 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 2 Peter 3:3, 4, and Revelation 6:1-8. "For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another." (Matt. 24:7) War has marred life on the earth for thousands of years. International wars and wars within nations have been fought. But beginning in 1914 the first world war was fought. This was not merely a conflict between two armies on the battlefield. For the first time, all the major powers were at war. Entire nations-including civilian populations-were mobilized to support the war effort. It is estimated that by the end of the war 93 percent of the population of the world was involved. There have been many famines in human history. To what extent has the 20th century been afflicted by them? World war led to widespread starvation in Europe and Asia. Africa has been stricken by drought, resulting in extensive food shortages. Late in 1980 the Food and Agriculture Organization estimated that 450 million people were hungry to the point of starvation, and up to a billion did not have enough to eat. Of these, some 40 million a year actually die-in some years as many as 50 million-because of the shortage of food. It is true that there were major quakes in centuries past; furthermore, with their sensitive equipment scientists now detect more than a million quakes a year. But no special instruments are needed for people to know when there is a great earthquake. Has there actually been a significant number of major earthquakes since 1914? With data obtained from the National Geophysical Data Center in Boulder, Colorado, supplemented by a number of standard reference works, a tabulation was made in 1984 that included only earthquakes that measured 7.5 or more on the Richter scale, or that resulted in destruction of five million dollars (U.S.) or more in property, or that caused 100 or more deaths. It was calculated that there had been 856 of such earthquakes during the 2,000 years before 1914. The same tabulation showed that in just 69 years following 1914 there were 605 of such quakes. That means that, in comparison with the previous 2,000 years, the average per year has been 20 times as great since 1914. "In one place after anther pestilences"(Luke 21:11) At the close of the first world war the Spanish flu swept around the globe, claiming upwards of 20 million lives and at a rate unparalleled in the history of disease. Despite advances in medical science, a heavy toll is exacted every year by cancer, heart disease, numerous sexually transmitted diseases, multiple sclerosis, malaria, river blindness, and Chagas' disease. Increasing of lawlessness and love of the greater number will cool off' (Matt.24:11,12) A leading criminologist says: "The one thing that hits you in the eye when you look at crime on the world scale is a pervasive and persistent increase everywhere. Such exceptions as there are stand out in splendid isolation, and may soon be swamped in the rising tide." (The Growth of Crime, New York, 1977, Sir Leon Radzinowicz and Joan King, pp. 4, 5) The increase is real; it is not merely a matter of better reporting. It is true, past generations had criminals too, but never before has crime been as pervasive as it is now. Persons who are up in years know that from personal experience. The lawlessness referred to in the prophecy includes contempt for the known laws of God, a placing of self instead of God at the center of one's life. As a result of this attitude, divorce rates are skyrocketing, sex outside of marriage and homosexuality are widely accepted, and tens of millions of abortions are performed every year. Such lawlessness is associated (in Matthew 24:11, 12) with the influence of false prophets, those who set aside God's Word in favor of their own teachings. Heeding their philosophies instead of holding to the Bible contributes toward a loveless world. (1 John 4:8) Read the description of it at 2 Timothy 3:1-5. "Men will become faint out of fear in expectation of things coming apon the inhabited earth"(Luke 21:25,26) "The fact is that today the biggest single emotion which dominates our lives is fear," said U.S. News & World Report. (October 11, 1965, p. 144) "Never before has mankind been as fearful as at present," reported the German magazine Hörzu.-No. 25, June 20, 1980, p. 22 Many factors contribute to this global atmosphere of fear: violent crime, unemployment, economic instability because so many nations are hopelessly in debt, worldwide pollution of the environment, lack of strong and loving family ties, and the overwhelming feeling that mankind is in imminent danger of nuclear annihilation. Luke 21:25 mentions 'signs in sun, moon, and stars, and roaring of the seas' in connection with the anguish felt by the nations. The rising of the sun often causes, not happy anticipation, but fear of what the day may bring; when the moon and stars shine, fear of crime makes people stay behind locked doors. In the 20th century, but not before, planes and missiles have been used to send destruction streaking down from the heavens. Submarines carrying deadly loads of missiles prowl the seas, just one such submarine being equipped to annihilate 160 cities. No wonder the nations are in anguish! To what do all these events of "the last days" point? Luke 21:31, 32: "When you see these things occurring, know that the kingdom of God is near [that is, the time when it will destroy the present wicked world and itself take full charge of earth's affairs]. 'This good news will be preached in all the inhabited earth'(Matt. 24:14) The message that would be preached is that God's Kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ has begun to rule in the heavens, that soon it will put an end to the entire wicked system of things, that under its rule mankind will be brought to perfection and earth will become a paradise. That good news is being preached today in over 200 lands and island groups, to the most distant parts of the earth so that everyone possible is given the opportunity to hear. For more information, visit the Related Link or read more: If you want exact quotes on the end time, read parts of Matthew and Revelation. The Bible speaks of the coming of the Antichrist. He will unite the world and he will rule. There are many prophecies about the Antichrist. Before his rule Jesus' followers will be taken. There will be seven years before Jesus comes again. Half way through, the Devil inhabits the Antichrist. Then Jesus will come again after seven years and the Gentiles will be cast into the Lake of Fire to their eternal doom and his followers will be rejoicing in heaven after the great war that we will win. Once again read revelation. I also recommend reading the Tribulation series. Another Answer: The Bible says that in the end times men will be selfish and hateful. It says times will be perilous. Another View: There are many many references in biblical text to the end of this 2nd of 3 iterations of earth. You will find Prophecies about those times written in the Old and New testaments. Our Father gives your prophecies about the end of this 2nd earth iterations from the major and minor prophets Christ gives you many references to the end times via the Apostles (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21) and his entire book of Revelation which was given to John I think the real issue is understanding via 2nd Peter 3, and Ecclesiastes 12:7 to obtain the real picture that each Soul existed in the 1st earth iteration which failed due to the actions of Satan (Revelation 12), Now all Souls have a second chance in this 2nd iteration to do those good works which allow them to pass judgement and get to the 3rd iteration (Revelation 20 & 21). The failure of many people is assuming that there will be a great Rapture before the appearance of Satan as Anti-Christ who then is evil to the remaining left behind. However its clear via biblical texts such as Daniel 11 that Satan comes in in peacefully, Revelation 13 identifies Satan as appearing like the lamb (looks like Christ), and he has super powers which allow him to cause lighting to appear right in front of people, which deceives them.

Was May 21 2011 Judgment Day?

User Avatar
This was a belief sparked by Harold Camping, a religious leader at Family Radio. Keep in mind that a few months back, they were saying the date was March 21st, 2011. They amended this date after March 21st came and went. According to this group, the world will end October 11, 2011. Apparently those few true Christians were taken up into the Rapture and we who remain behind will suffer tribulation, whatever that is, until October. Or perhaps not. Answer: No, it wasn't and was a mere hoax to confuse many who are anxious for Judgement Day so that they are listening to man and not our Creator, and to further set doubt in the minds of those who believe there will be no day of judgment at all. The Bible specifically says that no one knows when the end will come. It also says there will be many false prophets. Some points: Matthew 24:36 However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. Mark 13:32 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Acts 1:7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. Matthew 24:33 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. 2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. Harold Camping has selectively-chosen and therefore wrongly-interpreted Scripture. Even if any nominated date is particularly stormy, there will be absolutely no doubt whatsoever when Judgement Day arrives Matt 24 (v.27) For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Luke 17 (v.20) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luke 17 (v.21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17 (v.22) And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. Luke 17 (v.23) And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. Luke 17 (v.24) For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. Luke 17 (v.25) But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. Rev 16 (v.16) And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Rev 16 (v.17) And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. Rev 16 (v.18) And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. Rev 16 (v.19) And the great city [ie Jerusalem] was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. Rev 16 (v.20) And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. Rev 16 (v.21) And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent [this is about 100lbs!] : and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. Final_Answer:">Final Answer: What Harold Camping did in December of 2011 and what will occur in December of 2012 is an example of what occurs when people are have not studied to show themselves learned in the word of our Father. Consider what is written: There are actually 2 judgment days written in Biblical texts (Revelation 20 identifies both), neither occurred on 21 May 2011. They will occur after all prophecy events have been fulfilled. This answer does not proclaim to cover all prophecy in this small space but here are some red letter things to learn and keep focused upon. 1) There are 3 iterations of this earth (2nd Peter Chapter 3), we are in the 2nd 2) The state of Israel fulfilled prophecy (Jeremiah 24 and the Generation of the Fig Matthew 24 and Mark 13) 3) Daniel 8,11,7 provide the lead in events to the very end of this earth iteration. The Iran deal with the US and Europe will lead to Daniel 8 occurring 4) Daniel 8 - Persia (Iran) will move to destroy Javan (most likely the state of Israel) 5) Daniel 8 and 11 a king (from the West) will move against Persia to destroy it 6) Daniel 11 - The king of the West will go away and be replaced by 4 kingdoms (just as Alexanders Generals replaced him) ... Pay special attention to the king of the South (Historically Ptolemy) and the king of the North (Historically Seleucid) 7) These 4 kind oms will make up the 7 headed beast mentioned in Daniel 7, Revelation 13, and 17. They are a repeat of the 7 headed beast mentioned in Revelation 12. 7a-Lion - 1 head 7b-Bear - 1 head 7c-Leopard - 4 heads 7d-Dreadful Terrible - 1 head 8) All of the items Christ mentions in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 understanding the following 8a- Nation was defined from the Greek word Ethnos 8b- famine refers to Amos 8:11 8c- Troubles is actually translated from a Greek word meaning Sedition Answer Since the Question was originally "Will the Rapture happen on May 21 2011?" and it is now 2015 as I write this, obviously the Rapture has not occurred, Accordingly, I have changed the question to omit the date. I believe the Rapture will occur simply because God said it would: it just hasn't happened yet. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 GNB [Good News Bible] (v.13) Our friends, we want you to know the truth about those who have died, so that you will not be sad, as are those who have no hope. (v.14) We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will take back with Jesus those who have died believing in him. (v.15) What we are teaching you now is the Lord's teaching: we who are alive on the day the Lord comes will not go ahead of those who have died. (v.16) There will be the shout of command, the archangel's voice, the sound of God's trumpet, and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; (v.17) then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. (v.18) So then, encourage one another with these words. Two individuals have also been raptured in the past: (1) Enoch Genesis 5:24 GNB He spent his life in fellowship with God, and then he disappeared, because God took him away. (2) Elijah 2 Kings 2:11 GNB They kept talking as they walked on; then suddenly a chariot of fire pulled by horses of fire came between them, and Elijah was taken up to heaven by a whirlwind. Who celebrates the Feast of Tabernacles?

User Avatar
It is celebrated by Jewish people. Answer 2 Actually The feast of tabernacles its celebrated by anyone who understands our Fathers word and celebrates his feast days as given in Leviticus 23. its not specific or exclusive to Jews or Christians. It is not celebrated in most Christian church systems, and it is commonly celebrated (although on a different date) by Jews. In reality it is a feast to be held at the temple of God and officiated by the Priests of the house of Aaron of the tribe of Levi. Many Christian church systems believe these feasts were eliminated by Christ, however Christ never stated that to be the case (Matthew 5:18).

Where or what city and country will Jesus land when he returns?

The Bible says that Jesus will return in the same manner as He left... from the Mount of Olives. "...while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, SHALL SO COME IN LIKE MANNER AS YE HAVE SEEN HIM GO into heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the Mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a Sabbath day's journey." (Acts 1: 9-12) All the prophecies tell of Jesus "returning with clouds." Disappearing into a cloud was the last thing the disciples saw of Him. So, the reverse to this exit from earth shall be the manner of His return - from a cloud... back onto the Mount of Olives. "...His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives..." (Zech.14:4). "...then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven... and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matt.24:30) Answer In Israel on the Mount of Olives at Jerusalem as detailed above.
